Hello pokerstrategy, I am 21 year old student from Lithuania and I want to become a better man.

Better in poker and in life in general. Therefore, I decided to take action. This is my first step.
Why blog? You know, the last couple of weeks I've been browsing through blogs a lot. And noticed that successful players, guys that are going in the right direction, have one thing in common: they work a lot.
They set goals. They keep track of their progress. They re-evaluate themselves afterwards. They keep focused on what they want to achieve. They have discipline. And they reap the rewards.
This is what I am going to do too.
This thread is going to be my main guide, a tool not to loose my way and stay on the right track.
// Background info
Unfortunately, I was never like that. I never set clear goals. I did not have discipline. I did not sustain continuous improvement, my work ethics were poor. I was going somewhere without a clear direction. Based my actions purely on my mood, desires and past events. Like a float in an ocean, you know.
At times I did study a lot, work on my game hard, but lacked consistency. This and everything mentioned above was limiting my success. Somehow, I still am a winning micro stakes player. Won't dig into the past much, I'll just say that this year I started @ NL20 and now have 30 BI's for NL100.
But I feel that this is not enough if I want to go anywhere further and these successful guys here at pokerstrategy are doing more than I am.
I started to see things differently than I used to see them before.
As a result, I am going to change my approach. Significantly.
// Aim and purpose of this blog
In a way, I am going to treat the upcoming year, counting from this September, as a test of what could I achieve in poker if I really tried. I do not have any illusions about beating mid-stakes or so. If I find myself successfully playing NL200 - I'm super happy.
But I'd be even more happy if I can sustain clear, continuous improvement, do not get affected by motivational swings, have stable confidence and stick to the plan.
This blog is here to help me achieve this.
// What to expect
I'm planning to update this every week. Every weekly update will have goals for the upcoming week plus a preview, and a recap of the previous week.
Also, if you haven't noticed, I mentioned that I want to become a better man. So, real life stuff will not be untouched.
Planning to start the journey in September. And this should already be pretty huge for me, since I am going to have my first ever personal coaching with a very good player.
I'll be more specific about my goals and plans in my next update. This was just an introduction to what will start in September, since I cannot commit myself 100% to this till then.
Hope this is a start of something positive.
