felt i could be behind after his preflop action, but decided it's 0.02/0.04 on the flop and he would even play jacks or AK the same way.

well i have to admit that i´m not the 2/4c expert but still: imo it doesn´t make sence to not cap the flop but raise the turn. it´s multiway so you should try to force at leat the last player to pay the max if you think you are ahead.
but nevermind:
as i said: i would like to hear ciriths opinion about that hand because i have no clue about playing at 2/4c. personally i tend to cap the flop and call down after the turn donk

yeah, i'll try. and it will happen as i tend to have such hands almost every session

i'm on the same page with you that not capping flop but raising turn makes no sense, that hand was simply crap.

Yes CAP Flop!!!! That flop is not helping anyone and you want to isolate vs MP3
The 3/bet in the turn doesnt make sense for me, just calldown.

Hi baderth,

I would give MP3 AKs, AKo and AA-JJ after his preflopcap.
As he 3-bets the flop his range is reduced to AK :club: and JJ-AA. (This is a bit more loose than the PS.com bronze capping range.)

This also makes your equity worse so we have:

With 39% equity is not enough to cap the flop.

But can we raise again on the turn as no :club: came?

Again the answer is no. Anyway your equity is too good to fold as you still beat JJ and AK :club: and split with QQ.

Conclusion:

Just calldown after you got 3-bet on the flop. The chance to knock an other play out is not worth to invest so much money when being most of the time behind.

Always take ALL streets into consideration when deciding how to advance. Here the preflopcap reduces MP3's range so much that we simply can't be profitably aggressive anymore and so we have to call down only.
