Sorry about posting a NL50 hand here, but I had to move down a limit.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Hero (Button) ($50)
SB ($11.20)
BB ($75.35)
UTG ($60.80)
UTG+1 ($72.35)
MP1 ($9.75)
MP3 ($65.25)
CO ($15)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, 9
UTG calls $0.50, 2 folds, MP3 calls $0.50, CO checks, Hero calls $0.50, 1 fold, BB checks

Flop: ($2.75) 8, 8, 9 (5 players)
BB bets $2.75, 3 folds, Hero raises to $8, BB calls $5.25

Turn: ($18.75) J (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $13, BB calls $13

River: ($44.75) 4 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

Total pot: $44.75 | Rake: $2.20

I'm not sure about the turn, at first I thought I needed to protect given the board drawyness so I bet.
But after taking a look at the hand after session, the guy bet into 4 opponents on the flop, so a draw is very unlikely. He could be holding a 9 on the turn, but it gets so difficult for him to call a bet there, I think I should just check behind the turn.

Imo its close. You could bet turn for free sd, or cb turn + call safe river

Pretty interesting hand. I thought for like 5 minutes and still havent came up with the way i would play

First BB made potsize bet into 4 opponents. Board is drawy and it seems more like if he is trying to protect hand from draws not betting with one. I would think about folding right there on flop, but that seems kinda weak. Dont like calling here either because then we dont know anything about his hand. Any reads/stats would help here a lot. Think i might play raise on flop, check behind turn and fold to riverbet. And on flop i would raise less to like 7$.

Dont like bet on turn because we have quite weak hand and not much things we can beat there. So i would much rather keep pot small. Besides J came - meaning if he had like straight draw he now might have straight draw + top pair. That check would seem a bit weak so he might bluff river but tbh not much we beat there anyway.

I am really interested what coaches will say about this hand, because it seems hard as hell

If I check behind on turn I have to call a reasonable bet on the river I think (assuming the river is a blank).

Unfortunately villain is unknown. So no reads/stats on him. But it was interesting to see that he took more than 20 seconds to make the call on the turn... he even asked for time. But that doesn't help deciding what to do on the turn. :P

hi
imo this is a raise preflop .
as played i wouldnt raise flop when he bets into 3 people , i would just call and probably fold the turn if he continues beting .
as played when he calls flop i am giving up and not beting that turn

Definitely raise this preflop: you could easily have the best hand, you're in position and there's a lot of dead money.

I don't really like your raise on the flop: he's betting potsize against 3 opponents. A raise does protect but if he has a draw he already priced himself in. On top of that, since the pot is limped, it's not nearly as profitable to raise. Keep the pot small and call.
If he then bets again on the turn I think it's pretty close between folding and calling. TJ and J9 now beat you so realistically you're only ahead against 9T,Q9 and K9, but I would still call because he might be semi-bluffing or have a worse 9.

As played: I like checking it back on the turn. Given the action I think it's more likely he has some weirdly played overpair or 8x, and there are hardly any worse hands that call a turnbet that you can beat.

The river is kinda ambiguous because if you you're ahead on the turn you're still ahead now, so you might think about making a thin valuebet. But his range contains less draws now that he called the turn so I would check it and have a showdown.

river as played is always a check imo. if you bet the turn it's for a free sd in position. which i don't mind doing.

...but i would either bet the turn to a check after calling the flop bet or i would check behind on the turn. i definitely wouldn't raise the flop then bet the turn as well with this hand.
