I stealed from sb with 87o and got called by the 59s; cbet the flop and villain float with nothing; glad i hit my straight on the turn (because this maniac wouldnt have folded his pair of 5 to a 2nd barrel); I check raise turn to get more value on the river because he was showing aggression and to make him pot committed and hoping he had hit an ace.

Then I went all-in on the river to get max value and villain call with two pair. ♠_biggrin:

This fish was 3betting min raising like crazy trying to outplay us

I improved my game by:
table selecting loose tables with 10BB average pot and 20 VIP on Pokerstars so everytime I get Premiums hands I get action hence increasing my cash game winrate.

Stop bluffing players; it makes no sense.

The fishes were awful today at my table. I went beyond my stop loss and didnt quit my session and leave because a few fishes were at my table.

They were just hitting every board when they call with weak hands.

Another problem I am having was not raising enough to protect against draws and being on tilt when my KK lose to AQ all-in preflop when I 3bet.

When a player set mine against me it doesnt piss me off anymore. Plus am able to sense when a player hit their set. Am starting to realize that they dont bluff at NL10 so if a player raise they usually have set (obviously) unless its a fish.

Warming Down
After I finish playing session I usually relax my mind by playing chess online, my Xbox 360 or I will catch up on my tv shows.

I am currently watching Supernatural, The Walking Dead and Degrassi.

I would go over my hands in Holdem Manager if am in the mood afterwards
I need to start posting hands in the evaluation forum and be discipline to study while I grind.

Current Limit: NL10

Wanted to put in volume to get Silver star on Pokerstars but it was a bad time since the Micro Million going on and I want be able to play lot of hands anyways since am new to NL10 limit.

I cant wait to move up to NL25 though. Thats when the real grinding starts! Then uphill from there hopefully.

I detected a bit of a lack of self-confidence from you before. But I looked at your stats for the 0.25 45-mans and they were the best I have seen. I too have a self-confidence problem and tend to be cautious when moving up levels. Which isn't a too bad thing I suppose. At least we won't tilt and chase our losses by buying in to bigger games during a downswong. ♦

I started playing poker with the 0.25 45-mans. Then I started to play cash to see if I could crack it. As cash game is harder than SNGs. Anyhow, after 39,000 hands of 2NL, 2PLO, 4NL, and 4PLHE, I am up $265 to date.

I am running bad at the moment however. Hopefully, it won't last too long. The fish that were donating me their money are now hitting their miracle runner runner outs. I've had a look at my hands and I haven't done too much wrong. So there's not much I can do but grin and bear it.

You know the feeling: one day you feel like a God, always hitting the right cards, then several days you can't get a penny out of the tables. Seems a poker is game when you can keep your chest high when it's running good, but really have to sit down tight when it's not - just do everything that's in your power to keep loses to minimum, no matter how long it takes.

Its hard to be self-confident in Poker because you can play well and get suckout by bad hands; especially with tournament variance. Every poker player goes through demoralising times in their career.

My lack of self-confidence was because I wasnt really sure which Poker variant to play whether CG, MTT or SNG. I would flip flop and switch Poker Variants as soon as I have a downswing. I was in a tender age in my poker career and it was hard to find my Poker Identiity and stick with a variant (Cash Games).

Your runbad in PLO should be over soon because in the long run we should be profiting. You have to enjoy the run goods while they last and its good to have profit to cushion the bad times.

Thanks for posting here aswell and for following. I was reading your blog and wanted to share my opinion thanks for acknowledging it.

Fishes are annoying sometimes. Some fish you can eat and others are just poison! You have to try to lose less to them.

All the best with 6max CG hope you will give it your finishing blow and move up to NL50 soon.
