Hey guys

vill: 25/23/77h
He's been rather passive untill now. It's his first 3b but there is the sample issue of course.

Pre: I don't mind the call but I'd rather 4b/c or just play it postflop w/ initiative.

Flop: When he checks behind he's got either nothing or some SDV.

Turn: I want to take the pot since he's not interested in it so I bet. Bet could've been a bit bigger though.

River: When he's calling ott I'm guessing he's got more SDV hands because I don't think he'll float me light here. But his range is somwhat capped here between 33-66, 88 and some AK, AQ type of hands. Would this be a cool spot to overbet? Well yeah if he folds of course it's cool but I mean my thinking is that correct? Could this be an overbet spot?

Hero (CO): $21.93 (109.7 bb)
BTN: $21.54 (107.7 bb)
SB: $66.10 (330.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A K
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.60, BTN raises to $1.60, 2 folds, Hero calls $1

Flop: ($3.50) 7 2 9 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($3.50) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.80, BTN calls $1.80

River: ($7.10) Q (2 players)
Hero???

Thanks!

Hi RasTweet,

Preflop: calling a hand like this and playing OOP is not something you should be doing with limited info. You have a hand that wants to see 5 cards and plays poorly OOP. You will be forced into too many fit/fold spots. So either 4-bet or fold. You can easily 4-bet for value in CO vs BTN

Postflop: As played either bomb the river or check/fold imo. His range has showdown value clearly.

Yeah I don't like my preflop play either :(

What do you mean with "bomb the river"? Cause that might be betting almost pot. I think that they might call me to often thats why I'm wondering if overbetting here is a good idea. In my head it is

By bomb I meant pot+, so an overbet is an option. Of course he has some AQ in his range but shouldn't be too many.
