I noticed something today, a cycle that I've been stuck in for quite a long time.
I start by saying I'm going to do/make {some crazy new idea that will be so sweet} and I add it to my "To Do List"
I get home from work with a bit of spare time and sit there and look at my list, there's about 10 unrelated huge projects that will each take months to complete. I start one of them, then I just check facebook, I start a different one because that other one was too hard and I didn't feel like it anyway, I just quickly check PS.com, I start something else.
Almost nothing on that list has ever been done yet every time I write something I honestly believe I will do it.
It's an unrealistic expectations problem rather than a procrastination problem I think. Maybe I'll save my list for day to day things that I might otherwise forget and just run one project at a time.
POKER:
Poker has treated me well lately. This weekend was no exception. On Saturday night I went to a $50 tournament at the Tauranga Poker Club. They've really nailed the blind structure and its one of the best tournaments I've played in.
It only had 11 players this time because the rugby was on. I got on the 5 handed table which I like and went on a great run. Was winning almost every pot and the one where people got sick of me and called me down was when I raised 45 and the flop was a 236 rainbow.
the tables merged and I had to shut down for quite a long time. A very loose player that I've sort of struggled with was 2 places to my left. I called him down after the flop went ch/ch on Axx and he barrelled blank turn and river with K high and was right. He was pretty baffled but it was actually an easy call at the time.
It seemed to swing the momentum back in my favour and I ended up taking it down for $275 after sucking out on the bubble vs the short stack with KQ vs KK! (Felt almost as good as the K high call-down)
Hit a final table (7th) on sunday for $120 online which was nice but would've liked to push through for the win.
Here's a hand from a $50 mtt that I'm not sure about, villian is a reg who looked solid and had pushed me off a few pots without showdown, also I'd seen him make good sized thin valuebets in the last couple of weeks. The river donkbet was INSTANT.

Honestly I don't know if the call was ok or not. The insta-bet makes me lean toward folding but I figured my range is sooooo weak there and if I barrelled twice I would probably barrel again so he can't be valuebetting there. On the other hand he would've had to call twice with air to bluff the river.
