Is it ok to c/c river? I think he bets anyway his Jx, and fh, but could also shove busted fd

I think 5bbs is a bit too much, even with that whale on the table.

Bet bigger flop and specially turn, there's almost zero chance that guy is folding turn anything he called flop with. Just bet bigger, get value now from draws that will fold river and make your shove more appealing for him to call with his weak holdings.

Thanks for the answer. Agree about betting turn and flop bigger.

Can you tell me please why is it better to shove river, than c/c? I think his range mostly has Jx or fd and both should bet on river imo. Maybe he even turns into bluff some 7x or weaker PP.

I think you're underestimating the "fisheness" of the majority of fish. If you shove 50 in a 110 pot I can deff see them calling you with 7x and similars, given the J is paired and draws missed. And you don't know if villain will bluff river with missed draw, some don't. And I think it's way unlikely he will bet showdown value (but I've seen it happen indeed).

Good comments in the thread.

Agree with betting larger on turn + river.

I think this is a great texture to c/c river generally speaking but double2 makes a good point - it really depends on villain. If villain never bluffs vs check you'd obviously shove river for value from 7x. If villain is very bluffy I think c/c is slightly better on this texture because I can see most Jx hands betting anyway (regardless of whether they should).

And what if we dont have info if he bluffs river as I dont have enough sample on him?

I just had info 6 hands, VPiP 83, PFR 33, from which I can conclude that he is a huge fish, and because PFR 33 that he is not so passive.

.

Personally I would check/call, but that's just my opinion.

If there weren't so many busted draws I would definitely bet.
