You should defend more your hand in PF. Bet at least 3 or 4 BB.

Flop are good to a cbet, but in range of just 1 BB call, i will go to bet/fold there.
In turn we hit our out, but 98 str hit too... So we have a medium hand, and do not want invest more, go for a check/ call for until about 6BB
In river we got two pairs, but flush is done too. Huge bet from villain. We are most of time away, just fold.

Fold the river. Rest of the hand is very well played. Don't change how you play the other streets. You beat nothing on the river IMO.

All good points, but I see so many stupid plays at this level (2.25$) that I don't know what to make of them. People are likely to make the exact plays with only a 7 in their hand. Would I stand to have any profit by sticking to the standard strategy?

General statement: try to find something people bluff with. In this case you believe it to be a bare 7, but I see no reason a 7 doesn't just check/call the turn. If you can't find a bluffing hand, you can generally fold.
