Total equity needed to call = Total chips you need to call/Total potsize after call
i need to figure out what is my equity when i call villains open jams at the following stack sizes
villain open jams 12bb , 11bb, 10bb, 9bb, 8bb effective stack sizes
It's very simple really.
Without antes and 12bb stack sizes (after accounting for the blinds), you need to win:
12 / (12 * 2 + 1.5) = 12 / 25.5 = ~47% of the time to break even.
Same calculation applies for all other stack sizes. For example 8bb (again after accounting for the blinds:
8 / (8 * 2 + 1.5) = 8 / 17.5 = ~45.7% of the time.
It's as simple as that
