Hero (BB): $22.41 (112.1 bb)
MP: $49.42 (247.1 bb)
CO: $18.80 (94 bb)
BTN: $74.19 (371 bb)
SB: $77.47 (387.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9 9
MP folds, CO raises to $0.60, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.40

Flop: ($1.30) 2 8 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.78, CO raises to $1.56, Hero calls $0.78

Turn: ($4.42) 6 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $3.09, Hero calls $3.09

River: ($10.60) 3 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $13.55 and is all-in, Hero folds

CO is unknown, 40/40 over 5 hands.

i don't want to give him chance to check behind his overcards, so i donk flop.
i think overpair here is too strong to fold to this min raise, so i call.
turn i would check/fold on a blank. is call on river an option?

thank you

Hi,

Pre flop - 3betting this hand for value is a viable option. We can call 4bets or jam in this hand.

Flop - he's not betting this flop often so I like the donk, I prefer a bigger sizing for value though. His min raise does not make sense. A good hand or draw here would want to raise bigger either for fold equity for for value.

Turn - he's likely to bet Broadway here because it's a scare card so the plan here is to check call Broadway on turn and river. And on this card we picked up equity so I'm check calling too.

River - back door flush completed but the 3 does not really hit his range though he could have some random 2p or set. I don't think he's bluffing with an over bet shove on the river so folding is probably best.

Thanks
