what is a good system for colour coding opponents? I play fr nlhe and use pt4
Hey seacat22,
Lets see if we can spark up some interest for you
I'll move this over to General Poker Discussion!
You have to develop your own color codes. Otherwise they wont really make sense, since they are used to identify varous villians.
There is a lot of ideas around. And a lot of the videos the coaches on this site says how their colorcoding system is. But you should only use it as ideas, and make your own system.
Ex fish green, maniac purple, bad reg orange and good reg red. But its really up to you. You can also make 2 colors. Then there is ALOT of more options to make more precise quick guess about how they play at a quick glanse. Like use orange to a reg in the poker client software, and then use maybe green in the pt4 software if they dont fold overpair to raises. This way you have 2 colors to each opponent, and thats mostly enough if u are 24 tabling and want a quick glanse at the opponent in the hand. And maybe use purple or red or something if they fold too much to cbet raises.

Fair enough
i prefer to keep it simple with a traffic light system. anything more detailed goes in the notes.
green = recreational
yellow = bad reg
orange = competent reg
red = very good reg
i had to add another category after a while
blue = loose passive or nit
Yeah, Jive Turkey is mostly a temporary label for when it looks like someone is getting out of line.
thanks for the replies guys
sorry Jules I cannot use your system as I would pmsl every time I opened the software ♦
I like the idea of a simple traffic light system, i should explain I am playing NL4
so perhaps it should be green= fish yellow=tag fish red=luck box who keeps cracking my AA after calling 4bet oop with Q3s.
A great idea for using different table and software colours I will experiment with this.
