I call preflop the loose player. Then I flop top pair. Overpairs, sets and 2 pair beats me. But I beat the most of his crap. I decided to call it down. With the 8 on the turn I also beat his 2 pairs. So I think I improved. Then he bets again. So I call. The river gives 9 J the straight and villain overbets the pot. Should I have given it up?

Hi advancedTN1984

You have only 19 hands on him so you shouldn't jump to conclusions about how loose he is.

With the 8 on the turn what 2p do you beat besides Q7 (which is a bit far fetched to be in his opening range from early MP)?

I think that calling down there and stacking off you will at best split the pot with him. As played river is a cehck/fold
