What was the plan with donking out?

I think it is my standard line in spot like this

flop : check to let him cbet his air (if low cbet I will donk flop)

sometimes I 3bet/fold if i feel he could call with worse (fishy guy)

turn: donk to not give a free card could call with worse sPP

river : if called turn ,I think it is a check /fold any card because most of the time he will never bet worse

Preflop: Since he is a midstack we should look at his fold to 3-bet and how much he stacks off. We are BB vs CO so against a loose one we can just 3-bet for value

Postflop: As played I don't like your line where you donk turn just to fold a somewhat blank river. I can only see a donk being good if you expect him to call with overcards and if you expect that then he can bluff the river and we can't fold.
