I have to admit first up that being out of position in this hand I really had no idea what I was doing. I am posting this hand evaluation because there is clearly a lot that a newer player like me can learn here.

Turns out I won the hand but only because he was calling me with T8o. Intuitively I was expecting him to fold against my aggression but gave up on the river because I felt it was more likely I had run into a villain with a set or something... in reality he was a calling station but I need to know how to actually come up with a plan next time i'm in this situation.

Hello,

I would just stack off preflop here for 50bb.

As played, I don't really like donking the flop - I prefer taking a check/call line or even check/fold and playing straight-forward.
