is this hand played too Nitty?I raised flop to take some value from draws and weaker K . For me it seemed strong enough there.Aggression stats didn't look relevant for me on a small sample.

BTN: $10.80 (108 bb)
SB: $9.26 (92.6 bb) vpip:42 pfr 32 agg % 50 hands 60;
BB: $20.82 (208.2 bb)
Hero (CO): $10.15 (101.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J K
Hero raises to $0.30, BTN folds, SB calls $0.25, BB folds

Flop: ($0.70) K 7 8 (2 players)
SB bets $0.49, Hero raises to $1.25, SB calls $0.76

Turn: ($3.20) 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.24, SB raises to $7.71 and is all-in, Hero folds

Results: $7.68 pot ($0.51 rake)
Final Board: K 7 8 8
SB mucked and won $7.17 ($3.38 net)

Hi A,

Why do you raise the flop? I would usually just flat there, you can't play just vs a part of his range, you have to play vs all his range.

Then why are we folding the turn? I mean if he's an aggro fish. I would consider raising this flop against people who I have a ton of history with, when there are chances he shoves over with a lot of speculative hands. Otherwise calling is far better imo, especially against a loose aggressive opponent who will barrell a lot.

My thinking as well. :)

Once you raise flop assuming to be ahead of his continuing range AND you get one of the best turn cards, I would not fold. I think calling flop is better in general though and continue turns from there.
