hey skod in one of ure vid u talking about the eq shift. is this a hand where i should do it because the hand will not oven be the best on the river?

I raised it because i knew that villian always pot it when he had a very strong hand. so it could be that he has also an set and will slowdown if a A, K or a :club: comes
villian only cb 38%

Hi,

i would wait for a safe turn if i had QJxx for example, but with your hand it's unnecesary. It's just too strong, and you'll often get it in vs JJxx and 55xx.

Skod

What if the flop was like Q96tt?

Hi,

i would again probably raise my top set. Villain might even fold like a monster wrap without the FD that has decent equity vs us, so it serves a lot of purposes.

I would again just call with weaker made hands. I just don't like slowplaying top set in general.

Skod

But on a flop like Q96tt is a spot where 2/3 of the turn cards are bad for us... Shouldn't this situations be the ones to wait for a safe turn to shove?

If you can't commit on the flop sure. But here hero can make an almost 60bb raise, leaving 40 behind, so i like the raise here. If hero could only make like a 30bb raise, then i agree a call is much better, so we wait for a safe turn.

Skod
