bet out on a flop!

in these games as you know with so many limpers the games are sooo passive. so theres a very high chance that everyone will check the flop. and with your TP you could almost call it the nuts, you really need to bet the flop here. especially seeing you were second to act here.

rest of the hand is played like it should.

There is also a fair chance that someone in late position will bet. Somebody will have something they like. They all have to be very passive for a roundcheck to happen.

If you bet out on the flop, nobody is folding any kind of draw. You get full value for your hand if it stands up all the way, but this isn't very likely.

If you check-raise a late position player, you will win a smaller pot, but in a more secure way. If you get plenty of action on the check-raise, then you are the one who is drawing. You can probably fold to heavy action on the turn unless you pick up a draw. (If a player in early position bets and gets calls, it's probably just a call when it gets back to you.)

bs yohan. theres no point in checking your TP here. dont give him some ideas to fancy play syndrom. sorry for the harsh words but i have to disagree with you 300% here. i think trying for a c/r and "in a more secure way" is utter crap.

I also preffer to bet. I think once you bet hand will play out much safer and also situations that will arise from just betting will be much much clearer than when after you go for c/r.

If you bet and get called, well in that case its easy just bet bet bet and you cant rly go wrong.

If on the other hand you check there is a decent chance it gets checked around which is somewhat of a disaster.
If it gets be however and you then raise you are going to be dealing with slightly stronger ranges along the way...why?... because better hands will 95%+ bet on this flop,worse ones(including those which would call if you bet...like 4x,SDs or even Tx) will not bet on this flop with such frequency...therefore your equity will fall by a decent margin in this situation. Sure there is also an upside to this c/r flop line,like what have been said(you protect better,may get some extra bet from a bluff,...)

All in all I think there is no need for fancy play in such multiway spots without any special reason. I personally would never c/r in this spot.

Bet Flop yes! But though there is a decent chance that somebodys bets his QJ Tx or a pocketpair or whatever. You have so many people remaining that you probably did expect somebody to bet for you. that had the good effect that the players in the middle were faced with 2 smallblinds to pay to see the turn and if they folded outs like J9 or a pocketpair or A4 its really good for you with your vulnerable hand.

I think both plays have its advantages. With the bet you'll rather keep in weak hands that have outs against you on the turn but on the other side would it be awkward to see the flop being checked through. from the point where you checkraised the flop the hand kept playing itself. 9 is not a good card since QJ arrived but he could be still calling off with enough worse hands like Tx J9 or any pair and unless he improved to QJ or T9 you won't be seeing a raise.
