BU 48 hands 36/27/10af/ 0 3b
BB 149 hands 24/18/1,6 af/ 72 fold from BB/ 2,93b/ 50 donk (2 hands)

Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (UTG): $25 (100 bb)
MP: $27.17 (108.7 bb)
CO: $26.13 (104.5 bb)
BTN: $10.31 (41.2 bb)
SB: $27.20 (108.8 bb)
BB: $38.32 (153.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K J
Hero raises to $0.75, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.75, SB folds, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.35) 2 8 K (3 players)
BB bets $1.75, Hero calls $1.75, BTN calls $1.75

Turn: ($7.60) 2 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $2, BB calls $2, Hero calls $2

River: ($13.60) 4 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $3.25, BB folds, Hero calls $3.25

Results:

Spoiler

$20.10 pot ($0.90 rake)
Final Board: 2 8 K 2 4
Hero showed K J and won $19.20 ($11.45 net)
BTN showed Q 8 and lost (-$7.75 net)
BB mucked and lost (-$4.50 net)

Flop donk seems quite strong from tag. If we had KQ it would be kind of easier call. When BTN calls I really don't like my hand too much. So if BB continued with aggression I would just fold vs two.

T is blank and I don't see much value in betting vs two. When fish from BTN bets it's and easy call but seeing BB call also doesn't make me happy.

R is good card but I just go with c/c line. When BB folds...should we just c/shove shortie or is c/c fine with our hand?

Is there some other line possible in this kind of hand?

Hi Yax,

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: Once BB checks the turn I don't like your passive line at all. You are just asking to get sucked out on or donate money passively.

I think that you do have value vs BTN here for sure. He is the fish and can have anything from Kx or 8x and other stuff that can call.

But this is super dry board. What he would donk F and just c/f T with that we beat? BB is not doing it with KT. Maybe some misplayed 99-JJ. Any other Kx beats us. My thought was to c-c T and then call his R donk again since I expected him to take such a line. But like I said I'm not sure.

Yeah the same moment I called and before I saw the results was sorry for just calling him.

Ck/calling the turn is far worse than bet/folding it imo.

DOesn't BB still have a strong hand when he ck/calls in front of you? It's the same range you were afraid off.

But given that the fish is still in I expect BB to continue betting his value so this could easily be him giving up his bluff or checking his weak value hand.
