Oponent has like 29 tournaments played so far on an average stake of 22,56$ and he looks passive , the tournament average stake was something like 48 000 chips
and there were like 500 players or more, left to bust the torunament until ITM
how do you play this hand (preflop/postflop) and why?

i bet flop turn like 40%pot ch/c river max 55% pot fold for bigger sizing or bet fold to shove (smth like 6700, 11450, ch/call max 26-27k or(depending on timing of his calls) bet smth like 22-23k fold to shove)

I think preflop std, flop std.

Turn bet is still good, he can have AQ, KQ, QT, some broadway floats with one spade, or any pp with one spade, so I think there's still value in betting, but he might just checkback a lot of hands, that he would call a bet with.

River is interesting, since no AT, AJ, KJ, KT, or pp with one spade can call. Even for KQ, AQ the board is pretty ugly, not sure if KQ could call here. So I'd rather check on the river and decide based on his sizing and would like call a bet. If he bets big and is really passive I could find a sad way to fold it...

Here i would always bet flop and turn and check river. When we check river we should almost never fold to a river bet. We check river to potcontrol, to get bluffs into his range, because we dont want to be raised on the river and because (imo) a good player can play pretty perfect against us if we fire 3 barrells here..

Hi,

Imo nicely played. I would just call river. YOur hand is imo too strong to turn it into bluffing catcher and with top two pair I would not really b/f getting these odds.

best regards,

Hi all,

Vs a passive opponent I'm going for 3 streets here even on this ugly board. I like your preflop flop and turn sizing. On the river I think we can make it even smaller, something like 15000-18000 gets called by KQ every single time. Facing the small raise we really should fold. You need to win 1 out of every 7 times, and I think it's closer to 1 out of every 70.
