Thank you 098799.
I have noticed that on lower limits, if you find a very weak table you can increase some of your marginal hands. They will often only call you preflop anyway, even with AK or QQ. If I am at such a table (and I dont look for these tables, I only adjust play if I notice) some simple adjustments are:
Play AQ from UTG (AQs even better)
Play 88 like 99
Play TT from UTG
Play AT like AJ
Complete SB with KJs or QJs or any PP (2 limpers minimum, 3+ preffered)
5 limpers = complete SB with any hand a BSS would
And sometimes (very rare) on real limpy tables you can get away with calling any PP from any position for set value. If I hit I bet potsize flop and push the turn. Calling stations love to get to the river, but they wont call you there unless they have a medium to large hand, ie, they made thier 4 outer etc... so I always push my set on the turn on NL10, regardless of position/stack etc.
Again though, I do not do these kind of plays just anytime, the table has to "feel" right, and I mostly ask myself "are they really donks, or do I just think they are?"
Doing this:
my 22 are -6BB
my 33 are -7 BB and +16.5 BB
my 44 are -23 BB
my 55 are -4 BB and +18 BB
my 66 are + 68.5 BB
totals for limpy PPs -40BB +103BB
net +63BB
Keep in mind this is a very small sample size on small limits
Here is why the 44 are so negative....
