i was in middle position with A of spades and K of diamonds blinds 10/20 no limp before me i rasie to 60 cut off raraised me to 180 i decided to call flop came Qd 2c 7d i tried to steal bet 300 i got reraised i of course fold. my question is should i just chekc fold the flop .. in that case im pretty sure he would bet any hand.... or possibly consediring folding before the flop? i think that bet folding any flop is good tactic bud to loose third of my chips in first hand is not that good... please tell me what is the best way to play AKo in the first hand... thanks ( sng 1+0.2 , 10 players)

hi,
this is just my opinion but it sounded like he had KQ or AQ, i personally think your preflop raise was a little weak, and that might have deterred him. otherwise you are right, a check would have been just as weak, but probably less painful. id recommend lowering your 'tester' bet (from 300 to 3 or 4 BBs)

i dont really agree... to bet 3or 4 bb is here 60/80 chips the pot was about 4hundred... this bet is just calling for rerais with any card just for the "test"... youre right that i should bet more before the flop... i think 80 would be good but the situation could be same ..

As for your hand itself:
Usually we can profitably call his reraise preflop, and check/raise him on a A high or K high board. Don't bet out like this (for any amount), whether you hit or not. Check/fold is (way) better on that board.
