Full Tilt, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, Rush, 6 Players

UTG: $10.59 (105.9 bb)
Hero (MP): $11.55 (115.5 bb)
CO: $39.57 (395.7 bb)
BTN: $11.19 (111.9 bb)
SB: $16.10 (161 bb)
BB: $19.03 (190.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with J K
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.30, CO folds, BTN calls $0.30, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.75) 3 J J (2 players)
Hero bets $0.37, BTN calls $0.37

Turn: ($1.49) T (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1.01, Hero calls $1.01

River: ($3.51) A (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $2.38, Call?

Not much info on villain. Seems a bit loose. Loves to steal a lot in late positions. Not overly 3bet happy, but might be sample issues.

Would you bet the turn yourself or its better to check/call?
I think we can expect some floats/bluffs here.

BUT, can we expect him to value bet like A :club:Q :spade: on river? Or he will check behind it? I dont beat much. Do we got some options?

Hi gAsheks

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: why not bet the flop larger? As played he can definitely have floats (look at your bet size).

On the river we beat QJ if he bets it and that's about it. Even KQ got there. So against your average reg it's more of a cry/fold.

The plan was to keep him really wide. He cant have much there.

Sure, but on such a board you still get called lighter so instead of getting greedy and add a few hands go for pure value vs whatever will call you anyway.

Bet flop larger (can still get called by all FD's and probably PP's TT and below though these may raise-fold.)

What do you think regarding alternative Turn lines Bogdan?
Bet-fold Turn?
If hero's in similar spots choose to lead the Turn do you think it will generally lead to easier decisions on the River?
In this example I think it would be easier to see that the River is a fairly easy fold if Hero had bet the Turn rather than check-called.

Thanks,
MD

What are we aiming to get value from with a bet there?

There are some backdoors we get value from, mostly with Ac, and QJ but that's about it (although I think Jx raises the flop often given our small bet).

Continuing the thin value bet line is not terrible but it's thin.

Right, seems I didn't consider that villains calling range is going to be much tighter than their betting range.

So check-callin gains us most value on the Turn and River line dependant on card.

By checking we allow him to bet all the floats from the flop which is great.
