Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 100 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)
Hero (SB): 307.8 BB
BB: 343.3 BB (VPIP: 35.00, PFR: 25.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 20)
UTG: 117.7 BB (VPIP: 25.00, PFR: 25.00, 3Bet Preflop: 33.33, Hands: 8)
MP: 117 BB (VPIP: 16.67, PFR: 16.67, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 36)
CO: 83.7 BB (VPIP: 14.29, PFR: 14.29, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 7)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♦ J♦

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.5 BB, BB calls 1.5 BB

Flop: (5 BB, 2 players) 9♦ A♦ T♥
Hero bets 2 BB, BB calls 2 BB

Turn: (9 BB, 2 players) T♦
Hero bets 5 BB, BB raises to 20 BB, Hero raises to 44 BB, BB calls 24 BB

River: (97 BB, 2 players) 4♦
Hero bets 33 BB, BB calls 33 BB

Hero shows K♦ J♦ (Flush, Ace High) (Pre 70%, Flop 56%, Turn 80%)
BB mucks T♣ K♣ (Three of a Kind, Tens) (Pre 30%, Flop 44%, Turn 20%)
Hero wins 155.7 BB

On the turn, I got scared because both of us were 300BB deep and the board paired so my flush wasn't the absolute nuts. Hence I tried to keep the bet sizing smaller so that I would still be able to call any raises. Is this a mistake or should I be happy to get it all in. If he had shoved the river, would I be able to call?

Hi nghks1

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: Why did we bet so small on the flop and turn?

I think you should cbet larger on the flop (rather than underbet) and bet bigger on the turn.

Once he raises turn you can 3-bet larger. He rarely ever calls 99, TT or AT on the flop vs such a small bet on a wet board.

So you are safe there and can expect many Tx.

IF he shoves the river this deep at 10nl he almost always has it.
