I now think his line was smart - with donking flop - he makes me think that he has air or some pair. And so actions on other streets did not look strong also.

Flop - he has air or PP imo, gives good odds, I have overcards which dominate some of his air like KJ so call.
Turn - he rarely puts me on ace after called flop, so I bet for value to get call from 2nd pair.
After he c/r - I decide it does not make much sense so call. He might just think that A is good scare card and I bluff, so he reblufs.
River - after I called turn I cannot fold, need to go to the end because I am not putting him on anything strong.
