Greetings to the Pokerstrategy community!

I registered here back in 2009 to get the free fiddy, but failed two SnG quiz attempts because it was too nitty to my taste - I had already read many poker books, including HoH, and think more creatively in general, printing cheat sheets out and following them precisely is just not for me. Well, that was a sign from above but I didn't listen...

Long story short, I was a recreational player and math student until May 2012 when personality issues (Schnitzelfisch' specialisation) resulted in me dropping out of the PhD studies (I have a lot of theorems that could make a whole thesis but don't feel motivated to record and publish them)... starting to play poker fulltime (or rather halftime volumewise - that's what my health has allowed) since then was probably my worst decision ever, but it's not really revertible. Having no real plan B (and being a 26-year-old Russian - really old in poker terms) looks terrible, but as Leatherass9 has taught us, it in fact helps succeed if one is really motivated.

As a result of over 200K hands of PLO (mainly $20-£50, though my biggest stake has been $100 with antes; the first 10-15K were at untrackable sites and I was about breakeven after cashback then):

Spoiler

Spoiler

Don't worry, in fact I'm a bit up lifetime after cashback as I'm a filthy bonus whore; running like the sun, including winning a VIP freeroll on iPoker last month for $2500, has also helped a ton.

My main forum has been 2+2 (mainly SSPLO), where I'm known as coon74 and have 3443 posts as of now, and my average post length and content richness are likely close to the top. Anyone can verify my identity easily, though it's not a big deal - it's not hard for me to build an independent reputation here whenever I need it. As I'm intending to post a bit more here now, but am too lazy to rewrite all my thoughts, I'll just provide links to my 3 most useful (and kosher) milestone posts (out of many) so far imo, they all focus on psychology.

Positive thinking in poker

PLO as a suicide weapon [don't repeat my grinding setup at home!]

REGsponsible gaming

My favourite Pokerstrategy coaches so far are Skodljivec and Erik Stenqvist, they've taught me a lot, credit goes to them both! I'm looking forward to establishing good relationships with more coaches here. Ironically, I'm thinking about returning, at least partially, to SnG, where my real money poker path began.

Good luck with poker and life to all those reading this!

Wow, Skod, I didn't expect you to be the first respondent to the thread! Does Pokerstrategy have a smart search tool that notifies a coach when his name is mentioned? :f_biggrin:

Lucky will be the one who'll get your Christmas coaching :)
