Hello,

in general, what do I do when I have good overcards on a low board. Bet flop for value from other overcards? What about turn when nobody improves? If I had an overpair, I'd bet; so if I check it's pretty obvious that I don't have a pair.

Hey MarliesB,

Cbetting is probably fine in isolation on these low boards. Theoretically the best option is possibly to check with hands like AK. We won't fold out any PP's, so we are only getting folds from hands we beat etc. Btw, it's not a case you only bet pairs because you will bet your weaker overcards.

Turn + river is fine.

What is your plan after checking the flop?

Either hit A/K and bet for value or don't hit and check to showdown

Generally we can check down after checking the flop.

If villain bets turn we can sometimes call depending on the price and whether we improve to something like a flush-draw etc. Mainly it just depends on villain though and how often he bluffs since we have a good bluff-catcher. If he is passive we can just fold to turn lead though.
