Hi,

what's our plan for turn and river? Bet/fold OTT and if unimproved, c/f OTR (maybe call small bet from villain)?

IPoker Network $5.00 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

BB: $1.70
UTG: $3.91
MP: $11.17
Hero (CO): $3.13
BTN: $2.03
SB: $9.72

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is CO with 8 :diamond: A :club:
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.15, BTN calls $0.15, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.37) 6 :diamond: 8  4 :spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.25, BTN calls $0.25

Turn: ($0.87) T  (2 players)
Hero ?

Hi,

Not really sure if you can b/f with your stack size. I would likely choose c/c turn (since I would often give up turn with just broadway hands) to then c/c most rivers.
If player is passive you can also c/c turn to then c/f river (if he is not shoving as bluff with floats or turn worse showdown value hands into bluffs)

best regards,

Hi,
tyvm. however, i would be interested to know which river cards would prevent us calling a river bet? Guess cards that complete the flush or str are bad for our hand. What else? Also how does V's bet sizing influences our decision?

Hi,

bad cards are 5,7,9 and maybe J
backdoor flush are unlikely, so likely I would look him up against all other cards.
Generally it is hard to give advice if you have no reads to the player. Mostly players are not bluff happy with showdown value and bigger bets are mostly for value.

best regards,
