Preflop: Hero is MP with A J
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.75, CO calls $0.75, BTN folds, SB raises to $2.25, BB folds, Hero raises to $5.50, CO folds, SB calls $3.25

Flop: ($12) 9 5 4 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($12) 8 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($12) 2 (2 players)

CO: unknown
SB: unknown

Is the preflop 4bet/fold plan too loose?

Can i cbet here and push turn as a bluff? I think he can fold AK, AQ kind of hands, and I have 3 out if he shows JJ, QQ. DO you think is this overplay against an unknown player on the flop and pre?

Hi,

If Sb is complete unknown then I would just fold. His range is often very tight and AJ would often get you a lot of trouble. If you want to force out his air, then 4-betting is fine (calling is also fine to then try to take pot away postflop)
As played: you have quite a lot fold equity if you c-bet 5$ on the flop. If you don´t want to c-bet you can try to check it down, but since he would often check down with better hands you don´t win there too often, so I would be fine b/f flop.
Once he calls I would likely only shove J and higher turn cards.

If he is shoving JJ/QQ, then he should also shove AK, so basically with your c-bet you´re folding out AQ and don´t see let him free turn card his suited broadway hands

best regards,
