AQo called 3bet IP, flop stab or not?

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Q A
3 folds, Hero raises to $3, 2 folds, SB raises to $9, BB folds, Hero calls $6

Flop: ($19) 2 7 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero ....

SB is 14/11 with 8% 3bet vs MP.

If you have a larger sample, x/f OOP in 3bet pot would be usefull and x/r also. If he`s x/folding a lot, you can try to steal the pot from him every time.

I have that piece of information, but I wanna look at this as if we don't have sample for that.

This is a standar stab almost all of the time(in may actual game plan), but what checking back is more profitable?

Hey Celoclaudiu,

Something doesn't seem right with the info here. 14/11 with an 8 percent 3bet vs MP? Sounds like it's influenced by variance. Likely fine to make an exploitative fold preflop, or 4bet as a bluff.

Assuming he really is 3betting then betting vs missed cbet will often be profitable although checking will be the best option as part of an overall strategy.

I have 9k hands on him, so it's pretty much his real 3bet.
