C-bet or not to c-bet the flop?

Vs a standard reg, you should just be flatting this preflop. If you think he's calling 3bets oop too wide, then this can be a good 3b. As played though, I would just give up on this board. It simply hits his calling range well and it's tough to get enough folds to justify betting here.

The guy is clearly isolating a fish with a lame ass min raise. I cold call the whole world behind me cold calls and I see a multiway pot with a broadway. I mean if I had a suited connector fine makes sense to cold call with a hand like 89s multiway but will i really be doing myself any favours by playing AQo multiway with atleast two opponents as I know that fish is calling those 10 cents if I just cold call.

I can see the merits for 3betting but I think the hand actually plays just fine vs both utg and mp as a flat. Of course it isn't optimal to get a 5-way flop with this hand but given you're still likely to play the pot in position, i really don't mind it. Also, it's usually good for you if the utg gets into the pot, since you can easily value town him really thinly postflop. The reg probably won't be making huge mistakes in a heads up 3b pot, while the limper probably makes plenty of mistakes in a 3way single raised pot.

But 3betting isn't bad by any means, it just wouldn't be my default play.
