I've been playing poker today, and i've had so many bad beats i really need to post a couple to vent my rage. I know everyone hates people who complain about bad beats, because usually it's bad play. But no.

Hi DecMate,

Bad beats happen sometimes and it's fine to complain about them or share your anger. Though you should still understand that you can't win everytime with the best pre-flop hand and you will sometimes lose after all-in even post-flop when someone had played bad. It's just poker and it makes the game interesting.

About your hands, I think you should be bet/folding that first hand on turn. Practically no one bluffs here on NL10. You should always have exit plan on hands and you should never get too much in to love with 'em. This time it was a bad play unfortunately :/

Second one is just a bad beat, got to wonder what he was thinking _biggrin: _biggrin: _biggrin:

I would be crying after that EV-line, too. That's why I usually hide it from my results

Best of luck anyway :>!

I don't think i'd be able to hide it from my results. I love that line too much.

Another question for you, what should i spend my FPP's on? And at what stage? (i was thinking of saving 15kFPPS (or whatever it is) to get the 200$)

Take a look from the other side, if you were ahead when you went all-in, why should you worry about it? You did everything right. Well, more or less.

And I would fold queens

Hi guys,

Moved this to Learning to Win forum, it seems more appropriate there.

It depends on what stakes you are playing now and in the future. If you are good at tournaments, one could spend your money into buying tournament tickets as you could get a lot more with your points.

You can also spare those FPP's and buy stuff if you'd like to. I myself usually spare enough to get that 75d bonus :)

So i get it in a couple of times as favorite, get sucked out. Made a bad play and got stacked with bottom set when i should of folded. It's just not looking good.

Graph:

I'm running 14BI's under EV,.. Is this seriously variance? I feel like giving up.

If you keep playing correctly it will eventually turn :)

Stop looking at your results over a short period, start concentrating on your game and plays and the results will come!

Hang in there!

Thanks Holly :f_biggrin:

I know, that's definitely something i need to stop bloody doing. It's just i feel like this is the long run, as i've only just started and never put this many hours into poker before.

The long run needs to hurry up lol

The FPP hyper turbo satellites offer probably the most value. Considering you know how to play them, obviously. I have been earning about 300-700 FPP per day on average, doing some 5-10 of them each evening - 70FPP ones to a nightly tournament (in Europe) have netted me around $5-$15 per day.

Yeah, i did do that ages ago, but the variance is HUGEEE for hypers. Like huge. you have to play like, a ridiculous amount of tournaments to see a result, so i'll give that a pass.

IN OTHER NEWS

I played some hands again today, and guess what?
