PokerStars - $0.25 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 66.08 BB
Hero (SB): 121.64 BB
BB: 75.56 BB
UTG: 149.2 BB
MP: 55.12 BB
CO: 218.72 BB

Hero posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has K♦ A♠

fold, MP raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, Hero raises to 6.76 BB, BB raises to 75.56 BB and is all-in, MP SNAPcalls 52.12 BB and is all-in, Hero...? (68.8 BB effective)

hi, both players are 1-tabling.
0 hands on bb, mp is at 20/20/5h so not the biggest fish i guess. do you call?

my pre sizing is because mp has a mid stack, so i want to keep his range as wide as possible while still giving myself decent room to play postflop and stack off if i want to. could get away with slightly larger though

Hi Tomaloc,

Given MP is a fish and shorter you can still 3-bet larger. I feel that with a smaller bet than let's say 8 BB you don't really achieve much more.

Now, as played this is one of those spots where it's a bit more gamble and higher short term variance. I think that our equity, in general, is decent enough but in the end we are just "gambling" so to speak. So it's up to you based on how well you take a loss in a spot like this or what type of run you are on (because you don't want this to be a catalyst to some major tilt/spew).
