Two Q:

Do you do it? If not, doesn't that make 3-betting from the BB (versus 1 opponent) a little bit more attractive, contrary to the modern trend?

If you are played back at, auto-calldown?

Sample:
PokerStars - $0.05/$0.10 (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): 12.9 BB
UTG: 28.4 BB (VPIP: 22.38, PFR: 17.02, 3Bet Preflop: 8.82, Hands: 144)
CO: 14 BB (VPIP: 72.73, PFR: 9.09, 3Bet Preflop: 12.50, Hands: 11)
BTN: 18.6 BB (VPIP: 14.10, PFR: 11.94, 3Bet Preflop: 5.26, Hands: 313)
SB: 14.2 BB (VPIP: 33.74, PFR: 0.93, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 327)

SB posts SB 0.2 BB, Hero posts BB 0.5 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 0.7 BB) Hero has A♥ K♣

fold, CO raises to 1 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 0.5 BB

Flop: (2.2 BB, 2 players) 9♥ 5♠ 5♦
Hero checks, CO bets 0.5 BB, Hero raises to 1 BB, CO raises to 1.5 BB, Hero calls 0.5 BB

Turn: (5.2 BB, 2 players) Q♥
Hero checks, CO bets 1 BB, now what?

My chances are that he is bluffing. If not, I just barely do not have odds and outs to go on.
