Poker Stars, $13.89 Buy-in (15/30 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 9 Players

CO: 1,702 (56.7 bb) 12/10/7.5 over 1K
Hero (BTN): 1,445 (48.2 bb)
SB: 1,656 (55.2 bb)
BB: 1,470 (49 bb)
UTG+1: 1,440 (48 bb)
UTG+2: 1,530 (51 bb)
MP1: 1,652 (55.1 bb)
MP2: 1,035 (34.5 bb)
MP3: 1,570 (52.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with J A
5 folds, CO raises to 60, Hero calls 60, SB folds, BB calls 30
Decided to keep it low, so just flat.

Flop: (195) Q A 8 (3 players)
BB checks, CO bets 97, Hero calls 97, BB folds

No reason to fold, raise is an option, but I guess I will iso myself vs better hands.

Turn: (389) 9 (2 players)
CO bets 194, Hero calls 194

Looks like he is on A or maybe got FD, but only two A got me dominated so calling.

River: (777) A (2 players)
CO bets 1,351 and is all-in, Hero calls 1,094 and is all-in

Now this is totally weird, overbet form a reg... Can't really make any sense, but folding trips also weak.

Results:

Spoiler

2,965 pot
Final Board: Q A 8 9 A
CO showed 8 8 and won 2,965 (1,520 net)
Hero showed J A and lost (-1,445 net)

Hello biogas ,

Up to the river is fine. On the river I can't see weaker hand in villains range that he is playing this way. He is almost always ahead of us. I prefer to fold here.

Guys if you have any questions, do not hesitate to write in this thread by clicking the button or

Best regards,
Antoan

I would raise pf his m/raise (to t160) because I dont like to support SB/BB to call loose in this spot.
