Short introduction

I'm Marlo, 21 years old and living in the Netherlands. At the moment I'm a 2nd years student Human Geography and Urban Planning at the university of Utrecht. I like to watch/play football and going out with friends (as everyone does). For now, I play 3 years of poker at different games and levels. But never reached NL100 or higher. I'm active at the dutch pokerstrategy section, whereas I also write a Dutch blog. At the Dutch section there seems to be a lack of activity, so I will try to keep a blog active in the English section.

Strategy

After a long break, I decided to play NL2 in December to take another chance to reach the higher stakes. At the end of December I reached NL4/NL5, but because of many problems there, I knew I had to bring more skills at the tables. So, I made a strategy to develop pokerskills and mental skills. I saw this strategy in someone's blog and thought this is very usefull. The strategy works like this: every day I have written some to-do's. When I achieve one goal, I will get one point. After one week, at sunday evening I will post the achievements. When I get enough points for the whole month, let's say: 100 points per month, I will allow me to buy some healthy present.

The reason the dutch forum is probably inactive is because I think they are all here in EN. :tongue:

Forgotten to say something about the stake i'm playing. Currently i'm playing NL10 shorthanded at Ipoker. When I reach 625 dollar I will play NL25sh. Here is a graph of NL4 I played.

Played yesterday some hands, played just ABC poker. I see many players trying weird 3bet bluff out of position from blinds versus BTN, and firing one street and check/folds. Players construct nice ranges preflop, but dont know what they should do at postflop.

I think that this guy really wanted to play like a good poker player with loose 3bets etc because I'm a reg too. But he forget that you can't play this kind of loose 3bets whole the time. Especially when you are out of position. I hope to play some more pots versus him, maybe its even better when you play out of postion versus him, so he could 3bet more against you. I will open in CO a stronger range to call his 3bet with hands like AQ/AJs. I think you just have to play a normal ABC game against these guys, because they cant stop with those plays.
