Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: Given he barrels a pretty blank card why do you raise? What hands are you hoping he will fold to us?

I hope he folds higher flush draws and Ax hands, maybe like A4 2pairs.

Why would he fold those hands?

What do you rep? Some 3x hands? And a TON of draws?

Okay but, what other option have I? I have a relatively wide flop range because I have to defend a lot on BTN against CO. I have to defend my hands to not be exploitive.

In this situatin, I cant raise the flop because that's not rep too much, I can't raise the turn 'cause that's relatively expensive and rep not too much.

I can call twice and hope I get my spades every time? :/
How can I defend a hand like this? How the plan changes if I have a FD on the flop ( :diamond:)? Can I raise flop despite the fact that I don'T rep strong hans?

Raising a hand with a decent hidden draw just to be forced to fold it isn't the solution you are looking for.

You have other hands you can bluff with if you really want to but in a spot where you can't rep a ton of value you don't want to bluff a lot.

With this hand you can call turn and sometimes raise river (for example even on diamonds). So you are not calling just for odds/implied odds.

Of course you can raise strong draws on the flop, nothing stops you from that, and you can also start raising more hands for value (for example strong Ax, either the ones you slowplay or the strongest you call).
