Hi Katbr,

I moved your hand to the hand evaluation forum >12$ buyin. Please post future hands directly to the hand evaluation forums instead of the strategy forum itself.

To get the best possible feedback, I would also suggest reading this article on how to post a hand: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/poker-hand-evaluations/

Asaban

Hi,

Nothing wrong to just fold pre-flop, since you don´t have to protect your big blind with A8o against 2,5x raise (although in 6-max I would also likely call)

Postflop is standard and you can´t really nothing else to do than fold turn.
His overbet shove range is a lot stronger than third pair and you don´t need your stack by putting him on flushdraw

best regards,

Hi all,

Nice hand well played post ante. Do not fold this preflop! It's way too strong to 3bet/fold or fold outright, our odds are great preflop and it plays pretty well without the initiative.

Didn´t see the antes. I agree that then it is easy call pre-flop or if player is stealing a lot your blinds then you can also 3-bet semibluff.

best regards,

what is you plan postflop? just playing fit and fold oop without initiative seems that great to me and of course even after hitting an 8 or an A we can't be sure we have the best hand.

Fit or folding is still better than folding preflop outright given the pot odds we're getting. However we can also check/call some drier boards with our ace high.
