I raise pre bigger. Like 700-735-750. Something like this. It's not easy to play those Ax OOP when you make a small raise. He is gonna give you ton of credit on Axx flops, so he folds a lot. So basically, you are hoping to flop Qx in order to get a bit more action. Hands like 67s, 87s, JTo are all in his limping range(usually) and have 2 life cards vs you. Which makes it ugly for you.

So I either shove or raise bigger pre. It easier to skip the positional disadvantage when effective stacks are shorter(which is the case if you make a bigger raise) as you gonna have less streets to take decisions on. I shove all the small Ax with no reads. This guy seems to have also traps in his range, so maybe shoving gets a bit more value. Just because he might limp/flat A2o-A7-A8o, KT-KQ, but also convince himself to call a shove with these hands.

As played, I prolly c/give up turn also.
