I find myself OOP as the pre-flop aggressor with the initiative. I open raise with AKs out of MP.
I get called from the BU and miss the flop. I don't have many hands on this guy but it is unlikely he has hit anything. Still given the low fold to flop c-bet stat of 33% I elect to delay my c-bet until the turn if a suitable scare card arrives. It doesn't so I check again as I feel after checking the flop I look weak and am unlikely to build and fold equity. The turn brings a J and I decide to bet to get better hand to fold such as pocket pairs that were looking to get the showdown.
My opponent raises me and I find myself in a tough spot and have to release my hand.
Is this play too transparent? would you have taken a different line? if so which one?
