Remember villain is unknown.

Hero (UTG): $21.90
UTG+1: $99.43
UTG+2: $47.50
MP1: $100
MP2: $113.06
MP3: $19
CO: $18.50
BU: $20.50
SB: $79.94
BB: $23.51

Pre-Flop: A♦ K♠ dealt to Hero (UTG)
Hero raises to $4, UTG+1 raises to $7, 8 folds, Hero?????

For some reason this minraise this scared this shizniz out of me. It just smells like Aces.

What do all you guys think? Can we 4bet looser because this minRraise looks like such a donkish move, or should we 4bet tighter because UTG+1 wants to be called with such a small reraise.

I thought that the size of this reraise turns a quite standard push into a nice little discussion point. How would your answer vary if you were facing a minRraise on a higher/lower limit?

As far as my experience on low limits goes, it's very often a weak hand, like TT- or something, but I'd just call without a history, don't 4bet as You will have to fold to shove without reads, AK doesn't have equity to play vs 5bet :)

not sure about NL100, but on lower limits (nl10/25) and unkown players, i usually smell a donk when i see a minraise like that.

good point, i am always in doubt holding AK in this case...AK is a good hand and in more then 75% is a winining hand (my stats after more then 200k hands play). Without stats or notes i would probably either fold or call, but really depends on more factors, is the guy a big stack, short stack, for example also if my statistic for AK shows that i have lost a way to many AK in some last sesions (according my general statistic) i would also probably push...

I would push because in the long term you are mostly facing QQ or lower and/or Ak or lower. The probability of being against Kings/AA is significantly lower if you have AK.
But also looking at the mean equity percentage, against AQ you have 70, AK=split, KK 30, AA 11?, QQ and lower about 47.

You need around 42.5% giving your opponent 100% range so I would shove it and make a note of it :)

Why would you push if you lost too many AK hands recently? o.0 How does it influence your decisions? Don't do it like this man :)

i have some special way making partly statistic and controling general statistic....yes, do not do that, if you dont have at least more then 200.000 hands in your general stats... ;)

Well, interesting, at NL20, miniraise usually means a total fish (but this can be figured out in 2-5 hands of play, usually these players have VPIP~50-80 and miniraises a lot) - and he can have anything in this case, so its very +EV.

But most of a times it means QQ+ ("how can I extract more money from him, but do not scare him away") in my expierence :)

call and see the flop and then make a decision if its worth it to play on.

Push and make a note with which hands he does it. No stats nothing? then I cant help you more

In this case villain looked half like he knew what he was doing with tendancy to being a rock, he was 10/6.

I asked the question without stats though because i quite often come up against plays like this when i have less than 50 hands on the villain.

nevertheless, I'm unsure about the following 2 situations statswise;

If he has shortstack stats like 8/7 is he misclicking or holding a monster?

If he has bigstack stats, um like, 14/10 or 16/12 but i think he is intelligient and knows how to play against shortstacks, what could this minraise mean?

Thankyou for you help.
