Hi guys one of my friends wants to join poker strategy and all his other friends play at stars so he wants to join there (cant persuade him otherwise!!). I had a look at the deals there and saw that you have to clear 500VPP's in 90 days to keep it. so then i checked stars vpp's and rake details and it turns out that its hard to get vpp's (like 1 vpp whenever the rake gets to 0.40). So he is wandering if this is even possible on the micro limits, he thinks it will be impossible to get 500 vpps in 90 days playing at 0.02/0.05 - 0.05/0.10. he will probably play 400 hands a day or around that.

oh and if u make money so after 90 days u have $100 left not $50 how much do u take? all of it or just the $50?

cheers, any feedback is welcome

well, it really isnt a good idea to get your starting capital at stars.. lol

but i guess he can clear the bonus on NL10 is he plays enough (unless he's gonna play SSS, in which case it's pretty much impossible)

and i think if you fail to clear the bonus they only take the $50, the rest is yours to keep

ok cheers, I was askin him about it and he will probably play 6 max. But he will follow BRM and that's why he said stars is because of there 0.02/0.05 and better rake than FTP.

Any other thoughts from people who have actually played with there $50 at stars? Any Mods as well on the taking back the money issue?

Cheers

Well 90 days is a lot of time, i just received my $50 starting capital three days ago and started at 5NL (8tables) moved to 10NL (8tables) by the next day and on the third day i'm already at 25NL. With my roll sitting at $695.08 and 521 FPPS. (21 hours of play)

wow, that sounds pretty insane. at this rate you'll be a millionaire in what, like 5 days? :)
seriously though, you're on a major upswing, enjoy while it lasts :)

possibly im on a hot rush, but i spend most of my time searching for the right tables and studying players before actually sitting at the table. I'm finding that the key piece to my play, i'm winning hands i'd usually throw away.

Dude you are on a MAJOR upswing. Even if you are the best player in the world that is insane. Three limits in three days is a little bit hard to do in the long run...
I hope your upswing don't end soon.

Even if you played only on NL25 that's $30.7/h. 123 BB/hr
On 8 tables you make at best 600hands/hr, so 10ptBB/hr.
That kind of numbers is only for HU and if you are god on earth.
wow this is sick.
On the higher limits downswing hurt more, so start working on your game
And may the flop be with you...

well right now i'm sitting down with BI:66 25NL BSS. Only going to move up once I have BI:100. I'm only playing on cash tables 6 max.

well, no offense, but im very sceptical about this :)

it just doesn't seem possible to go $50 -> $700 in 3 days with proper brm and only gain 500 fpps?
of course i could be wrong.. . :)

i demand a graph at least

how do i get graph, i have all my hand histories is there a way i can convert that into a graph?

Anymore answers to my question????

BSS 9max^^

€dit: SSS on NL5 is not good ;) He must start it on NL10^^ but with only 2$ on the table you've get very seldom a pot who are bigger than 8$.

I think the clearing with SSS is only at NL25 possible :-/

Get the Poker Tracker 3 program (you can use it for 60 days I thing) and import all your HH.

Anything else on getting 500 FPP's in 90 days? Oh and about what happens if u don't reach it and u made $25?

Hi ya King,

I made the 500 FPP in about 2 months playing SSS NL10. I was playing roughly 20 hrs a week and playing 4-6 tables.

As for your question about the $50 starting money. They will only take the $50 so if you have made an extra $25 on top they will only take the $50 and not the whole $75.

Hope this helps ya mate.

Regards,

Steve
