I have tried to create a new database for elephant on win xp and i have this error message :
"the postgresql data directory must be on an ntfs formatted volume"
ma partition is a fat32
what must i do ?

Well you have to either convert your partition to ntfs or reformat and reinstall windows. In both cases you have to do backups for your hole data. For both cases please refer to the according mictrosoft guides.
