Hi,

Preflop - guy looks fishy, minraises from UTG and after my 3-bet he..? What was that? Smells like AA(people on NL2 like to induce preflop bluffs with AA this way) but I call for set value 4bb(have 12 already in a pot).

Flop - drawy flop, he bets 1/2 pot, I still have overpair and decided to call down with posibility of reevaluation on later streets

Turn - well..what to say - :f_biggrin:
Decided to raise that big because: a-protection b-value c-he is a fish

River - not a club, and if he did this with A7 I will throw computer through window - allin

Ok I was lucky on turn but generaly I dont know how to deal with these 1/2-min raises preflop.

Thank you

Hi miropro

Your preflop plan conflicts with your flop plan.

if you call to set mine why call the flop after you miss? If you put him on KK/AA does he not have the same hand on the flop?

So preflop/flop make sure you have a plan that's consistent. I think calling one street on flop and playing turn is fine but then we don't call preflop just to set mine.

Hi Bogdan,

Truth is, it was hard for me to fold QQ on that flop and that is why I didn't stick to my preflop plan. Small pp is not a problem to fold here, but had strong overpair and somehow hoped that I was wrong when I put him on AA. Not KK, I really put him on AA because of that "I'm afraid that villain will fold preflop if I raise properly" behaviour. It is symptomatic for NL2. But his 1/2 pot bet on that board somehow made me think that he could draw flush.

But main reason why I didn't fold the flop - liked those queens too much. :f_mad:

But generally, is this good way to deal those small raises preflop?

Thank you

A min raise followed by a min 4-bet from UTG (or limp/reraise) should be treated as strong hands.

And even if he draws to the flush he has at least 50% equity vs you (assuming he has either the A or K). So either way you are not doing too good and you are chasing 1 clean out.
