Just so everyone can see, there's the last 2 months of history at Poker770. I played a couple a points tourneys for giggles, but nothing else happened. I may have had $0.01 CAD left from an exchange difference cash out, but I'm sure I'll be forgiven for a penny.

I've got a whole quarter in my account now. Another couple dozen freerolls and I can buy a chocolate bar!

This brings back memories of when I switched from play money to freerolls several years ago. I used to grind multiple rooms looking for the best value and softest freerolls I could find. I would rejoice at winning a few cents here and there.

The day I won a $50 Freeroll on Poker770 out 0f ~800 players for $9.52 (wow ), I felt like I'd won WSOP.

So I went to play in the local live tournament that is supposed to be on every Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Guess what? It's no longer being held on Mondays. There's 100 km of driving for nothing.

So after consoling myself with $20 into a slot machine, I came home and got back to work on this absurd challenge.

I ground out a couple 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the 9max SnG's, and entered 3 of the $10 prize pool MTT's. I totally wiffed on one of the entries, but the other two were fruitful.

That brings my total up to $3.32 CAD. Everything is going to be listed in Canadian $$ as that is what my account is in, and I'll be damned if I'm bothering with exchange rates.

That might actually be enough to sit down with a couple BI's at a 2NL table. I'm honestly not sure with everything being in euros

It's nice to get back into the winning side of the online ledger, even if it is a couple of freerolls. I was always sure there were holes in my game, but I didn't think I was a complete donkey-fish as the last 5000 hands of NL5 in my other challenge would indicate

So I watched a couple poker videos, read a couple poker posts on here, and played another 51 hands of NL2 in GBP or Euros or whatever Ipoker uses now.

It went ok. 106 bb/100 lol. Flopped a set once, had aces once, and turned a set once. Good value for time served.

I'm 5% done already. Go me. At $10 I'll actually be comfortable being a the tables. I really have no interest in ever participating in a freeroll SnG for a nickle again.

Think I'm going to stick to short stacked cash games for a little bit. I tried some DoN's and a couple SnG's and they aren't really for me I guess.

I don't have a problem with suited anything being the nuts and having donk-a-trons shoving with it, I just have a problem with it always ACTUALLY being the nuts and winning.

Put in another 300 or so hands towards this challenge, came out on the good side of the ledger.

Most of my winnings came via one special case who insisted on swearing at me and calling me impolite British references to parts of the female anatomy. After I stacked him a couple times, he threatened me with the IRA. I'm not worried, I'm sure the IRA have better things to do than going chasing after a couple euros worth of NL2 that are now property of the Federated Socialist State of Canada.

Almost 9% done!

Suffered a little at the NL2 short stack tables against a guy who seemed to just have my number. It all worked out in the end as I ended up for the day, but it is frustrating blasting off 4 BI's to someone with a VPIP above 65%. I was honestly impressed at his ability to call in places he had no business calling, with hands he had no business calling with and hitting trips on the flop.

Oh well, that's poker I guess.

I've been looking to put in some more volume on this challenge as I'm still under 1k hands played (on NL2), but life has been conspiring against me. Well that and I've been playing live...

Has anyone had any experience with the twister poker? the games fairly soft? I'm not sure if I want to try with such a low number of BI's. Maybe I'll grind up to $25 and try a couple of them out.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Discovering again why I hate NL2, people can't think beyond what they have in their hand. Top pair, no kicker is the nuts regardless of the 275 draws on the board. Hell one hand I TOLD the guy what he had for cards and then overbet and he still called me on a 10 high board with 10/6o. Of course my overs with flush and gut shot draws didn't make it so he won lol.

Grinding away. Looking to put in 500-750 hands tonight and nearly double my NL2 output.

Well I need to take a step back I think. I'm pretty sure I'm not playing even close to my B game, and coupled with not winning the flips/odd suckout/60%'s/etc. I think I need to figure out a better strategy for how I'm playing.

So far I've been pretty LAG about the entire challenge. My reasoning is that I'm fairly confident in how I'm able to play post flop, and I have a fair understanding of what my opponents are going to be using as ranges preflop. I guess where I run into trouble is when I get pushed back on, I'm inclined to think they have the goods, and when I look them up with something that has value, they do have the goods.

But enough whining from me.

I suffered at the tables the last couple sessions, so I tried a couple twister games for something different (that and 770 doesn't have a huge player base for SnG's/MTT's). Won both of them to balance the books a little.

I may try a late night session and see where that goes. Maybe try another 500-1000 hands if I can get the tables together. However like I mentioned before, the player base is turning into an issue. The Bankroll problem today was that I couldn't get any short stacked tables together with more than 2-3 people. I ended up having to play on the regular tables with min buy-in, which is still double what I was looking to commit to any one BI at this point.

Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated this in a while. I haven't played any 770 hands in a bit and have been either 1) playing in live tournaments during the day or 2) playing in cash games at night or 3) both.

I've also not been feeling 100%, so I can't find the motivation to grind out a couple bucks here and there.

Tell you what, I'll promise to play a minimum of 1k hands before the end of the weekend, and post at least 2 funny stories...

On a separate note:

I said I would be willing to stake 5 players @ $50 each if I hit $250 by the end of next month, and I am. I would like to see if I can get some coach support for this as well.

Maybe a package deal. If I get to the $250, one of the coaches volunteers his/her services for 5 1 hour group sessions for myself and the 5 chosen stakes.

Thoughts? I know it's a lame way of getting 5 hours of coaching, but you gotta do what you gotta do!

As promised I ground out around 1k hands today, and ended up a bit for my efforts. Still not playing as well as I can, and suffered a couple mis-clicks while multi-tabling and distracted by wife/child/dog/squirrel/elbow skin.

The shining beacon of that was I had AA on a table in the BB, it was a walk and I didn't notice. All I had seen was table #3...aces. So buzzer goes of and the table pops up and I notice a raise from CO so playing 20bb short stack, I just shove. Needless to say, my J4o got called and I was down a BI

I'm going to try and really get some volume in this weekend and see if we can't get past these useless 20bb tables. Going to need about $20-$25 to feel ok about a full BI, but I think it's doable.

As you can see by the middle of the graph, my day wasn't exactly solid. There were a couple rockstar moments in there where superfish calls preflop, flop and turn to river a straight. You know if he calls a suited A3 or something in a LP and the flop gives him a ton of outs, I don't really mind. But it was like a 47o with a flopped 6 on a A high board. Same guy called Q3o in BB and called down top pair no kicker to river a 4 on the board flush. So much for my KK. Where's my fish cry emoticon? Ah, there it is, much better.

Decided to grind out a few more hands today, and with the way the house is running today I'm going to have to split it into a couple of different sessions. Remember boys and girls, marriage is a wonderful thing...

On a poker related note, after pocket aces 4 times so far today I'm actually UP money preflop! You may be thinking "WTF, whatever." But trust me, that's rare for my game. AA vs ATs, AA vs KK, and 2 folds to 3x bet preflop leaves me up $0.13! That's a win in my book!

Truthfully, I can see myself being able to get to somewhere between $50-$75 with the amount that I've been playing. I'd like to put in more hands, but just can't seem to get myself sat down for a good grind. And with no zoom/rush at nl2, having to multi-table s ton isn't for me. I've found 4-6 is about my maximum, after that it starts going poorly. If some multi-table ninja has some zen that they would like to share on the art of the multi-table, my inbox is open.
