Lesson One Homework
Question 1: What is your motivation for playing poker?
I want a hobby that is social, interesting and challenging, and that I can fit in around my work and family life. Being good at the game means winning money which I'd like to use to work up the limits until I get to the point of skill and bankroll where I can play live in casinos.
Question 2: What are your weaknesses when playing poker?
After a long run without any cards I find it hard to keep to a tight starting set. (I only play single tables, once I up my game and get the confidence to do more this may change.) And as for for throwing away a hand on the river after somebody raises.... that's hard, I find it difficult to throw away a hand at this point.
Question 3: What does it mean to play tight aggressive?
Playing only a small selection of good cards and raising with them to ensure that there is enough money in the pot and that drawing hands are excluded, and to test what other players hold.
