BTN: $2.52 (126 bb)
Hero (SB): $2.12 (106 bb)
BB: $1.43 (71.5 bb)
UTG: $2.19 (109.5 bb)
MP: $2.01 (100.5 bb)
CO: $2 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q Q
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.05, Hero raises to $0.15, BB raises to $0.25, BTN folds, Hero raises to $2.12 and is all-in, BB calls $1.18 and is all-in

Flop: ($2.91) J 5 Q (2 players, 2 are all-in)
Turn: ($2.91) 4 (2 players, 2 are all-in)
River: ($2.91) 6 (2 players, 2 are all-in)

Results:

Spoiler

$2.91 pot ($0.10 rake)
Final Board: J 5 Q 4 6
Hero showed Q Q and won $2.81 ($1.38 net)
BB mucked A A and lost (-$1.43 net)

With a little over 20% worth of my stack preflop already in the pot, a all-in is good here?

What about opponent's 4bet range? Is it +EV to push here knowing that he'll 4bet call AK+, JJ+???

I would raise to something like 70-75c and call if he pushes. Looking to shove any non-ace flop. He isn't a full stack so might be prone to spazzing. If he was full stacked unknown I might fold this to the min 4bet even bvb as it's usually aces at NL2 (in my experience)

hmm interesting

so based on your experience, what bet sizing do recreational players raise to when they have JJ-QQ and AK?

difficult to give an answer here. Min raises tend to be fairly nutty (they don't want to scare you off) but tbh NL2 players are either just starting or really bad so you can't assume they even have a standard sizing on an individual basis let alone as a population read. If you have PT or HEM you can look back at your all-in preflop situations and study what villains were doing. This is def. the best way of working out tendencies. Lots of villains have uber nitty stats like 9/4/2 and these guys are only 4betting AA+. But as I said, vs. an incomplete stack I'd struggle to fold QQ. And as the effective stacks get smaller my stack off range grows generally.

Hi,

Cold min 4-bet from a unknown guy? =KK+ as a standard. SO, I would just call pre-flop and play this hand post-flop. It just doesn't make any sense to shove over this as he will fold all his bluffs and call with hands that are flipping at worse and most likely crush you.

^^so why call 4bet if it's always KK+, esp. when we are shallow? Just saying... ;)

We are deep enough to get the odds for a call to set-mine. Also, IF he happens to have the bluffs in his range, why not keep them in? If we just jam here he might fold random KTo that he decided to min 4-bet with.

very interesting stuff, it does look very strong when villain min 4bets from the bb against my 3b.

Considering this is 2nl, I don't expect the majority of the players here to get out of line and they're most likely playing straight forward.

If this min 4 bet is kk+ then I should call here OOP and only continue if I hit a set and play check/call on small bets from villain?

Yeah, my plan would be to call this pre-flop and see what he does post-flop. If he really had a bluff pre-flop or a weak hand, he will most likely bet smaller and you can call him down. When we call pre-flop and if he bets like pot or 3/4 on flop, we can most likely give up versus unknown. His line is just so strong. Ofc, if we had stats that tell him being overly aggressive maniac, we could call him down on most run-downs (flops/turns that don't have A/K)

He has less then 100BB, really good indication he is a recreational player and when they min4bet, I tend to just click it back. You often see random shoves or really terrible calls. Although, 5bet shoving is definitely going to be +EV vs a recreational player.
