Grinding mtt's from rock bottom to higher stakes

So first mtt day today, played the list above and also some turbos at night. The most annoying tournament was 5e big @ stars.fr. 12 players left, huge flip JJ vs. AKs but right away A on the flop. But no problems, that is normal mtt variance.

But the good parts, 4 final tables today: 6d early double I was fourth, 5,5d 0,8k at 888poker 4th again and 5e 500e guaranteed 9th place...

But luckily I won 5e omaha turbo and 250e from that so nice ups today

Yesterday was soooooo annoying ♦ I was for some reason very tired (or not for some reason, I went to sleep at 5 A.M. and woke up at 8.30 A.M. so there is the reason). Had really big problems first to focus myself but then I did 50+50 push ups during couple of breaks and it helped a lot.

Ran pretty bad but had a magical hour 23.00 to 0.00 and had big stacks in 8 tournaments. In the end 3 final tables, places 8, 9 and 9. So sick ♦
But still marginal profit is better than losing a lot so can't complain. Better luck next time

I have started analyzing my every game day with hold em resources. I tag every hand where I'm not sure what to do. Also I ran quick analyze from every shove spot, do I fold too much or something. Really really small amount of mistakes, like biggest are something like 0,2 and they are a hand where I have folded 14bb w J9s and should have shoved. So small fixes to my push-fold game and it will be even better!

The most important part is to develop my mtt program. I will remove some very very long and slow mtts from the schedule and add couple of turbos there. Today is rest day, going to wine tasting, get super drunk and enjoy life. And tomorrow is of course special day because it's sunday. But I guess monday is the first day when I try the new mtt schedule.

From what i read imo you should take some time to work on:

*Some more planned breaks for recover focus
*Not open ship stacks like 14bb what u mentioned w j9s, while there huge majority of times is more +Ev line as r/f, limp/shove, limp/fold, limp/call/donk or c/r flop depending situation

Turbo mtt will be easier but for me personally it not something what i am willing to accept. I constantly studying to improve post flop, deeper play pre ect. and feel confident about my game for deeper/longer mtt plays. I am unsure where you want be, be short stack specialist or improve to level where you are comfortable play any stack size any format.

I defensively need work more on some mental parts of game and focus during 5-7+ hour mtt deep run but not going to let it get me down to play turbo/hyper only.

You're right about the points. I have pretty bad planning about what to do during breaks. It is definitely a part that I need to work on.

Also I definitely need to work my limp/shove and mini raise - fold tactics. They are pretty bad at the moment. I don't do any limping at this moment, mini raise-folding I have started to do more and more. It definitely has raised my winning rates and reduced variance.

I don't want to play only turbo mtts, but I want to balance my mtt program so that there isn't one tournament that takes a lot more time than others. That is not optimal. I think I have 75% normal speed tournametns and 25% turbos. And I think it's pretty good mix.

So today a big sunday. I grinded all my fpp:s on both poker starses and also changed all my points from ftp and winamax to tournament tickets. So a lot of "freerolling" today. Hopefully I can cash a lot and increase my bankroll. I will play a lot of mega fields today mixed with some smaller ones.

Played pretty good yesterday. Couple of final table bubbles unfortunately but no worries. Lost 60euros, so not a big deal.

Now I'm thinking about this weekend Easter. I have two options: Option 1: Go to cottage with my parents and just do fishing the whole weekend. I love fishing but not sure if there are still ice.
And option 2: Play as much mtts as I can. And get that moneyyyyzzz.

I'm quite sure I will do option number 2.

But today I have to do some school work and maybe relax and play the newest zelda on 3ds

And I guess you're right about Easter. I think I'll do some kind of mix. Grind thursday and friday, go to cottage on saturday and come back on sunday to grind

I've been reading a lot about productivity, goal setting and time management. Kapurs' blog has inspired me to do this. I have a very bad habit just to waste time. For example yesterday I could have gone to sleep at 10 o clock, instead I chatted on facebook and skype and watched stupid youtube videos till 2 o clock.

Luckily this day has been better. Woke up at 7 o clock, started do school work and did those till 14.00. Great 7 hours there. I have coaching today with a coach from 16.30-18.30, and after that 19 till 0.00 I reg all good games. So long night coming, have to take a nap now. 40minutes is great for me, it takes like 10minutes to fall asleep and then you sleep 30minutes, you feel refreshed and don't feel sleepy anymore

I have had pretty laughable end game run all these days. If I reach final table, I'm always out in the first 2 players, and I have a bunch of final two table runs. It gets pretty annoying, but I think just more volume and it will be better...

but the good parts, my game has improved a lot. I fixed couple of things, focus more on 3betting and min raising and it has raised my ev bb/100 a lot. Now I have 19,5 ev bb/100 overall

I don't usually like Black Eyed Peas or Fergie, but this song is so so so so goood still. And man Fergie is so hot!

Those were pretty unlucky knockouts you had today... the big shippaments are just around the corner

BB/100 is pretty useless in mtt without big sample and filtered blind levels.
I should recommend ignore them over small samples, it probably give you pretty random clues about where your game is.
BB at ft is so much more important then BB at tournament start.

But it great you starting focus more on 3bet and probably find some spots where to 3bet what was not noticed earlier.

Yeah I know Kapurs that filtered stack size ev bb/100s are much better but I need to get more volume for those

And I think overall ev bb/100 isn't totally useless, it big difference if it is 5bb or 20bb so I'd like to check that out sometimes. The most important part anyways is to focus on end game and make good decisions there. And usually you have short stacks there
