high variance stay out if u are nitty

it first i was like: nh!

but there are some things that i dont like about this hand:

a)you are repping very thin, i dont think you would checkback a set or top 2 otf, only 86xx make s some sense.

b)his betsize at the river looks really valuish

c)he has some set combos he can bomb the turn with and he also can have like T875

in general i like your idea, and i also like to do it, but maybe im concerned because i use to make me hate my life with those lines instead of V. hating his

With a FH possible I would just call the river as your big raise will only get called by better hands. You have great showdown value on the river. Villain is unlikely to have a set on flop yes but 2 pair combos with an 8 are v possible. If anything raising the turn would be a better option make him pay if he's drawing to a FH.

i know what u mean. And ure both right. What i consider is just that somethimes in some spots u have to thrust ure guts. And i dont think that villian will pot here a set ott and then bet river on this card. Imo he has to have the same str8 or a bluff. against a bluff it doesnt matter and i just can call. but i decide not to do to let him fold a split. on the other hand i guess he would not bet a str8 again otr dunno. so like i said some high variance here. I would not do this against a good solid reg which i marked or a callingstation btw.

snap raise turn. I understand the call if you had a bare straight, but here you have tons of extra outs to a better straight.

Villain also won't blindly bluffdonk rivers for the last 50bb's, as he can't really expect any FE; the stack will be so shallow he will prob just jam turn regardles.

I don't like this play. Good rule of thumb is to first try these "original" lines with the nuts, see if they work.

You can often freeroll him, why not just take that freeroll? It's not common you can freeroll villain in 330bb pot. Yeah, sometimes he has the same straight and a fd, but that happens.
