Villain 24/19/3bet 6,8/3bet BU vs MP 9%/foldto4bet 59,6%/call4bet IP 23%/call 4bet AA,A6s,AQ/14k hand

Is it ok to C/C the flop? This flop hits my cold4bet range so I do not think he bluffs all the time with suited connector and it also hits his calling range.

So what is the plan?

I'm a fish regarding deep stack play, but I would assume your 4bet is really small, I would make 42$ for a 100bb stack. And I think since we are deep maybe use hands that play better post flop, off suit broadways is not the way to go this deep. So, instead of AJo, maybe use KQs, KJs, ATs, maybe even weaker Axs...

Hey Bisovic,

I pretty much agree with double2 here. Hand is not going to have the best playability here OOP deep in a 4b pot. I think folding pf is fine and using different hands to cold-4b here.

Hey, so maybe lets assume hero made 4bet with AJs, whats plan postflop in that case?

Postflop is perfect.

He doesn't 5bet AK this deep, so his flop range has lots of better hands, making you unable to value bet. So you check. When he bets, you have an easy call.

Turn, you don't improve and he increases his sizing. I don't think you see many bluffs here at all, but still lots of value hands. Should be an easy fold, although calling again isn't too bad.

Hi,
What bluff combos on flop could we expect from villian, and what on turn?
I mean could hero fold on flop exploitative?

His flop range is super strong, yes, but we have pot odds, don't think we can fold a gutshot + occasionally best hand there.

32.50 into 148 total = 21.6% pot odds

vs nut hands only

16% AdJc
84% QQ, TT, AQs+, AQo+

sprinkle in some other hands like JJ, KJs, and bottom pair+gutter that are there ocasionally. could also add a rare A9s or T9s, but Ill just do full combos of JJ,QTs,JTs to account for those cases

30% AdJc
70% QQ-TT, AQs+, KJs, QTs, JTs, AQo+

And that makes it a call even though we are far behind.

Yeah I realize now that we have equity for given pot odds.

Can we always call if our equity vs villian range is better than pot odds?
I think we will not always realize our equity, what if villian continues barreling balanced, so he will also bet those gutshots which we are hoping he has?

I think, if we have 21.6% pot odds and have bluff catcher, we should also consider his
barreling on turn and river. So if he has only nuts, he will bet turn and river 100% of time, so we shouldnt look at our equity (because we will not realize it), but at our outs to hit straight? And this spot looks to me as one where we are unlikely to realize our equity

Maybe this hand is an extreme example because ranges are so narrow and tight, but
what about 2bet pot (wider ranges), we have e.g. small PP and have e.g. 40% equity vs villian cbet.
We could call his bet, but are we going to realize our equity often enough with such a hand?

I think we're gonna realize our equity some of the time, not all of the time. When you call the flop, villain needs to consider the chance that you might be trapping him, therefore he can't just continue barreling with his whole range every single time.
For obvious reasons it's important that you slowplay the nuts or a strong set against overaggressive players. These are the players that you're trying to defend your checking range from, therefore you have to look out for these situations.

Yes, of course, we only win exactly our equity from the pot when we are allin. In this spot with a bluffcatcher OOP we will most likely not be able to win our full equity.

If we faced a turn bet on every card except a King and have to fold, and would never get paid if a K comes, we would realize only ~9% equity. But that is the absolute worst case.

As ETBrooD pointed out, we will catch some turn check backs. We will also get paid sometimes when we hit a straigt and villain is bluffing or has a high set he can't get to fold.
