Was this played right? I thought he will often have a set in that situation.

Hey Teebie,

Preflop open is fine.

Flop cbet for value is good.

turn cbet for value is fine.

River cbet is fine. River fold to raise is very likely correct here. It's great that we've gone for max value but facing this river raise our hand is almost never good at these limits.
